Moretz Sports began business in 1946. Headquarters are in Newton, N. C. Hugh Moretz was the founder. In 1954, Moretz Mills became a fully integrated hosiery business. John Moretz is currently the president and CEO. He has been with the company since 1972. In 1978, Moretz Sports is created. This year, 2006, Moretz Sports celebrates their 60th anniversary.
One of many Moretz Sports products is the PowerSox. The "Power Sox Pro-Thick Crew" sock is constructed with DuraSpun Acrylic, has welt top construction for comfort and fit. Pro-thick cushioning for maximum shock absorption and protection. Fresh Antimicrobial inhibits the growth of odor causing bacteria in the sock.
