Moretz Sports began business in 1946. Headquarters are in Newton, N. C. Hugh Moretz was the founder. In 1954, Moretz Mills became a fully integrated hosiery business. John Moretz is currently the president and CEO. He has been with the company since 1972. In 1978, Moretz Sports is created. This year, 2006, Moretz Sports celebrates their 60th anniversary.
