These socks are absolutely amazing. They stay thick and cushiony throughout their life cycle, but most importantly, they STAY UP. I have large calves and lesser socks lose elasticity within a couple uses, so I would forever be pulling them back up. Since I have found WigWam, I no longer fight with my socks all day!!!

I wear an AFO (Ankle-Foot Orthosis) plastic ankle brace. I need a long sock that will protect my leg from irritation from rubbing of the brace. I have tried several different socks and have found the Wigwam 747 to be the best sock on the market for my purpose. I also tried soccer socks. I wear one on the leg with the brace as an under garment and then put a dress sock over the brace. I am surprised that there are no specialized socks for this purpose. This time I tried the Wigwam 7 footer acrylic sock which is very similar to the 747 which is all cotton. I like the 7 footer pretty good but the 747 better. The real test will be the longevity of the sock. By trying both my hope is the 7-footer will last longer.

These are the best socks I can find. They are long enough that they come out of the top of my workboots. I take a size 15 shoe so these work the best. They last for awhile just wish they made these for steeltoe boots.
